# Attribution, sources and rights

## Project status

The Bobiverse Atlas is an unofficial, non-commercial fan project. It is not affiliated with Dennis E. Taylor, Audible, the publisher or other rightsholders. Bobiverse names, characters, story elements and setting remain the property of their respective rightsholders.

The atlas uses original interface code, diagrams and copy. It does not include cover artwork, scans, audiobook audio or long passages from the books.

## Community chronology attribution

The provisional Books 1–3 dataset was developed with reference to:

- **Bobiverse Interactive Star Map**, created by GitHub user `thunfischtoast`: `https://github.com/thunfischtoast/bobiverse-map`.
- The repository's linked community chapter timelines and family-tree resources.
- Bobiverse community references used for discovery and cross-checking.

The referenced repository is licensed under **Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0)**. Derived timeline and lineage data in `data.js` is therefore made available under CC BY-SA 4.0, subject to the underlying fictional-property rights noted above.

This atlas does not copy the referenced repository's application code or visual design. It adapts and re-curates factual timeline/lineage information into a new interaction model.

## Publisher and author-facing sources

Later-book narrative windows were constrained using public publisher materials:

- Audible synopsis for *Heaven's River*.
- Audible synopsis for *Not Till We Are Lost*.
- Audible announcement for *The Infinite Extent*.

These sources informed the original provisional narrative windows. The research edition now also uses the owner-supplied books and audiobooks described below.

## Primary-text status

The research edition indexes 424 chapters: 280 from four user-supplied EPUBs and 144 from Books 5–6 and Book 4’s audiobook Coda. It includes 246 original paraphrased event records with chapter/paragraph or audiobook timestamp locators and source fingerprints. The 144 audio-derived summaries were reviewed against local machine transcripts; independent listening checks remain pending. This is selected-event research, not complete verification of the chronology or lineage. All 61 original community-derived event records have been reconciled and retained as historical assertions alongside their canonical replacements; original lineage and map data remain provisional. Books, audio and full machine transcripts stay outside the public build.

- Fictional setting, names and characters: not licensed by this project.


The technology index contains 73 consolidated technologies, 302 original paraphrased claims and 58 source-linked connections. Invention, discovery, use, transfer and reported explanations are distinguished. Chapter/paragraph or audiobook timestamp locators refer to the supplied local sources; no book or full transcript is included in the public build. Audio evidence remains machine-transcribed, with independent listening checks pending.
